Email update: Invite to Small Business Workshop
I sent an email update on Monday to invite local entrepreuners to my office's latest workshop for small businesses. Please click here to join my email updates so you don't miss any in the future!
Today, I wanted to be sure to invite you to an important event my office is holding this week. And if you happen to know someone who may find this useful, please feel free to forward them this email.
I’ve seen how hard our small business owners work and how important they are for growing our economy and creating good-paying, middle class jobs.
I’m committed to supporting Sacramento County’s vibrant small business community. In Congress, I’m fighting for common-sense tax relief, to reduce burdensome regulations that don’t make sense, and to ensure that government is a strategic partner for growth – not an obstacle. My office is here to make government work for our small businesses.
That’s why my office is hosting a workshop to help local small business owners this Thursday. We’re here to connect area businesses with resources they can use to grow and hire.
Please click here to learn more about it and to RSVP now – space is limited!
Here is all of the information:

Day / Date: Thursday, June 30th, 2016

Southgate Community Library Meeting Room

As someone who was born and raised in California, I grew up believing that America is a land of opportunity. It’s a place where you can reach your full potential if you work hard and do the right thing.
But these days I know many families are working harder and harder to realize their American dream. We’re continue to recover from the financial crisis that cost people millions of jobs, homes, and retirement savings. At the same time we’re experiencing a shift in our economy with new technology in an interconnected world.
We must do a better job of keeping pace with these changes to create more jobs, opportunities, and an economy that works for the middle class so our children grow up better off. Helping our small businesses succeed is a key part of that because small businesses are a key pillar of our middle class.
If you’re unable to attend my office’s workshop, please feel free to visit my website’s Help for Businesses web page. My page contains a variety of helpful free, public resources that local entrepreneurs can use to succeed in our economy. You’re also always free to call us at (916) 635 0505 to ask a question and to get help.
It’s an honor and a privilege to serve you in Congress. Please always feel free to contact me to share your thoughts.
