Email update: Upcoming events
I sent an email update on Thursday with information on several upcoming events my office is hosting and participating in. Join my email updates now so you don't miss any in the future!

I’m in Sacramento County this month, so I’m meeting with local residents and doing all I can to make government work for you. Here’s a quick update:
New Job Fair Tomorrow
![]() Met with constituents to discuss job training and the economy at the Crossroads Service Training Center, where local job seekers are connected with resources and assistance to find employment. |
Creating jobs and building an economy that works for middle class families are my top priorities. That’s why my Rancho Cordova office is working to help local residents who are looking for jobs.
And in case you haven't heard, my office is hosting a new job fair tomorrow in conjunction with Assemblyman Ken Cooley. If you're searching for a job, please consider attending. We held a similar job fair in July and were able to help connect nearly 350 Sacramento County residents with local employers who are hiring. We'd love to help you too.

Participants will learn about resources that are available from the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Census Bureau and learn answers to important questions about starting a new business, such as how to prepare an industry analysis or how to access capital.

Water Conservation and Drought Workshops on August 25th and 27th

I know California’s historic drought continues to hurt Sacramento County families, business owners, and farmers. My office is doing all it can to connect Sacramento County with tools and resources during this difficult time.
We will be hosting two new water conservation and drought workshops for local residents later this month. The first workshop will be held in Folsom on Monday, August 25th, and we will host another one later in the week on Wednesday, August 27th, in Fair Oaks. And as always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. My door is always open.
