Invite: Grant Resources Workshop on October 14
![]() I often hold workshops and events in Sacramento County to help connect local residents with resources and assistance. |
The federal government regularly awards grants to states, local governments, and other organizations to help pay for projects that can help local communities and the economy. This makes federal grants a crucial opportunity to make government work for Sacramento County and to help give our economy a boost. However, successfully applying for a grant can be a complicated process, and the competition can be fierce.
To help navigate these challenges, my office is hosting a grant workshop to assist non-profit organizations in the grant application process. In addition, a data specialist from the U.S. Census Bureau will be there to discuss how non-profits can take advantage of public data to improve their chances of successfully competing for a grant.
