Lawmakers try to break gridlock on Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON — While Congress continues to get mired in issues from immigration to food stamps and farm subsidies, a bipartisan group of 70 lawmakers is moving forward on its own.
Rep. Ami Bera , M.D. (CA-7) discussed moving the U.S. India trading partnership forward during a meeting with India’s Minister of Finance Shri P. Chidambaram this week. Congressional Caucus on India and India Relations Co-chair Rep. Joe Crowley (NY-14) and, Reps. Sandy Levin (MI-9), Erik Paulsen (MN-3), and John Larson (CN-1) were also at the meeting.
