Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. has again sponsored the Partnership to Build America Act, bipartisan legislation to rebuild America’s infrastructure in a fiscally-responsible way. Bera was an original sponsor of similar legislation in the last Congress.

Earlier today, Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to honor the memory of Sacramento County Sheriff Deputy Danny Oliver. Oliver’s widow, Susan Oliver, will join Bera as his guest to the State of the Union address later tonight.

Deputy’s widow will be honored guest at speech
Next Tuesday January, 20, the day of the president's State of the Union Address, Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. will honor the memory of a Sacramento County sheriff deputy who was killed in the line of duty. Sheriff Deputy Danny Oliver, 47, was a 15-year veteran of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department when he was shot and killed last October during a patrol in Arden.
