Opportunity for local students, parents to learn about applying to U.S. Service Academies
Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. will hold the 2013 Sacramento County Service Academy Day on Saturday, September 14, 2013, for high school students who are interested in serving as an officer in the United States armed forces and their parents and guidance counselors. WASHINGTON — While Congress continues to get mired in issues from immigration to food stamps and farm subsidies, a bipartisan group of 70 lawmakers is moving forward on its own.
Rep. Ami Bera , M.D. (CA-7) discussed moving the U.S. India trading partnership forward during a meeting with India’s Minister of Finance Shri P. Chidambaram this week. Congressional Caucus on India and India Relations Co-chair Rep. Joe Crowley (NY-14) and, Reps. Sandy Levin (MI-9), Erik Paulsen (MN-3), and John Larson (CN-1) were also at the meeting.
