Rep. Ami Bera’s Office Recovers Over $3 Million for Sacramento Veterans

Since 2013, the Congressman’s office has assisted more than 4,000 Sacramento veterans

U.S. Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) announced today that his office has now successfully returned more than $3 million in federal casework dollars to veterans in Sacramento County.

“Assisting local veterans in cutting through red tape to access their hard-earned benefits is a top priority for my office,” said Representative Ami Bera, M.D. “I am proud to share that my local casework team has recovered over $3 million in backlogged benefits for Sacramento veterans. My team and I remain unwavering in our commitment to doing all we can for those who have selflessly served our nation.”

Since taking office in 2013, Bera’s office has resolved nearly 4,000 cases for Sacramento-area veterans.

Bera continued: “If you are a veteran who is facing challenges in accessing your deserved benefits, whether because of a paperwork error or an unreasonable wait time at the VA, my staff will work diligently on your behalf and do our best to make sure you receive a response to your concerns.”

In total, Bera’s office has returned over $16.5 million in federal dollars to Sacramento County taxpayers, including assisting more than 27,000 constituents.
