Representative Bera serves on three key House Committees in the 118th Congress: the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The House Committee on Foreign Affairs is responsible for legislation and oversight related to: U.S. foreign policy, U.S. foreign assistance, national security developments affecting foreign policy, and U.S. diplomacy.   • Rep. Bera serves as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Indo-Pacific, which has jurisdiction over the Asian region. Rep. Bera also serves on the Subcommittee on Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations.

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is charged with providing oversight of the nation’s intelligence activities, including the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), National Security Agency (NSA), as well as the military intelligence programs. To learn more about the Intelligence Committee, please visit: intelligence.house.gov

The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic is charged with examining the efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and transparency of the use of taxpayer funds and relief programs to address the coronavirus crisis.
