Email update: 11,000 constituents helped in Sacramento County!

Email sent on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018

I sent an email update on Wednesday to announce that my office reached a new milestone serving you. Please join my email updates today so you don't miss any in the future!

I wanted to send you some great news.

As of today, my office has officially helped more than 11,000 constituents in Sacramento County, including returning nearly $5.5 million to local taxpayers.

Making Government Work for Sacramento County is about serving our community – it's about helping veterans cut through red tape, making sure seniors receive their Social Security, and ensuring families get the tax refunds they were promised.

To me, this milestone is more than just a number. These are friends and loved ones right here in Sacramento County.

And we'd be honored to serve you too. Please call my office at (916) 635-0505 or visit bera.house.gov/gethelp to learn more.

We've helped constituents like Aaron – an Iraq War veteran – finally receive his GI Bill benefits, so he could pay for school and become a paramedic.

We helped Jon, a local small business owner, finally receive his green card after waiting for ten years so he could stay focused on his company and employees.

We helped Courtney get her passport approved, so she could attend her grandmother's funeral.

Congress should be a place for service. And I'm committed to continuing to serve you however we can. That's why my office can help with everything from stalled passports to veterans' health care issues. We're also happy to connect people with whatever resources they may need.

If you need help with the federal government, please feel free to call us at (916) 635-0505 or visit bera.house.gov/gethelp to learn more.

Be well,

Ami Bera, M.D.
Member of Congress
