WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representatives Ami Bera, M.D. (D-CA) and María Elvira Salazar (R-FL), co-chairs of the House Tuberculosis Elimination Caucus, reintroduced the End Tuberculosis Now Act of 2026. This bipartisan legislation would strengthen U.S. efforts to prevent, diagnose, treat, and ultimately eliminate tuberculosis (TB) worldwide. A group of seven bipartisan representatives joined as original cosponsors.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) cosponsored the Wildfire Response and Readiness Act, a comprehensive package to strengthen wildfire prevention and response, help communities better prepare for catastrophic fires, and provide greater support for wildland firefighters.
The legislation was introduced by Representatives Joe Neguse (CO-02), Jared Huffman (CA-02), Angie Craig (MN-02), Andrea Salinas (OR-06), and George Whitesides (CA-27).
