Bera Secures Local Funding and Discusses Inflation with President Biden

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) – The office of Representative Ami Bera, M.D., announced that the representative secured over $3.76 million in federal funding to directly support nine local projects throughout Sacramento County.

The investments will support vital water infrastructure projects in Citrus Heights, Folsom, and Orangevale, improve public safety in Elk Grove, fund the construction of a youth center in Rancho Cordova, and much more.

"This funding will go a long way in making Sacramento County healthier, safer, and stronger for generations to come," said Ami Bera, M.D.

Meeting with President Biden to discuss fighting inflation

On Wednesday, March 30, representative Ami Bera, M.D., met with President Biden at the White House alongside New Democrat Coalition colleagues.

He raised directly with the President the urgent need to combat rising costs that are squeezing American families and small businesses.

The New Democrat Coalition also discussed the need for the Senate to quickly pass the America COMPETES Act, bipartisan legislation that strengthens the capacity to make more goods and jobs here in the United States.

Bera said he was proud to vote for this bill in the House:

"It was an honor to bring the voices of Sacramento County to our nation's highest office. As your Representative, I will continue to push for policies that fight inflation, lower costs for CA-07 families, and grow the American economy and middle class."

"It is my greatest honor to serve you in Congress. Please know that my office is here to help in any way that we can. My office has helped return over $10.6 million to local taxpayers - everything from stalled tax returns to backlogged veteran's benefits."
