Bera speaks out on Hobby Lobby birth control case

Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. spoke out today about the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court case that will be heard later this month. The case will determine whether corporate CEOs can deny women their right to insurance coverage for birth control.

“As a doctor, I took an oath to provide my patients with the best options available to them and to explain the risks and benefits of these choices,” said Bera. “Women should be free to make health care decisions that work best for them, and respect their own faith, family and personal circumstances. Bosses and out-of-touch politicians have no right to impose their religious views on others, and they have no place in the exam room.”
