Sacramento, CA – Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA) today released a statement praising the decision of Major League Soccer (MLS) to consider awarding an expansion franchise to the Sacramento Republic FC.

Bera "The promising MLS bid is a testament to the talent of this team and the loyalty and passion of this fan base. The new MLS team and the proposed stadium will bring important business and economic development to the Sacramento region.
