Chairs Bera and Lofgren Announce Joint Hearing on the Trump Administration’s Muslim Ban

The Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship announced today a joint subcommittee hearing on the oversight of the Administration's Muslim ban to be held on Tuesday, September 24.

"The Trump Administration's Muslim ban continues to impact the lives of thousands of Americans," said Rep. Ami Bera, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. "This joint subcommittee hearing, the first Congressional hearing on the Administration's Muslim ban, will explore the origins of the ban, the waiver process, and the Americans who have been negatively impacted by this policy. I'm pleased to be working with Chairwoman Zoe Lofren, who has been a steadfast leader on this issue. Congress will continue to exercise its constitutional authority to provide oversight on the Administration's foreign policy, including the Muslim ban."
