Rep. Bera Announces Winner of 2023 Congressional Art Competition

Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) today announced the winner of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for California’s 6th Congressional District.

“I am thrilled to announce Nicole Wang from Mira Loma High School as the winner of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for her work titled War Between Two Great Powers,” said Representative Bera. “My office received a number of beautiful submissions from talented young artists across California’s 6th Congressional District, highlighting the remarkable skill nurtured by their dedicated teachers. I look forward to seeing Nicole’s beautiful artwork hanging in the U.S. Capitol alongside other young artists from around the country.”

Mira Lima High School is located in Arden-Arcade, California and is part of the San Juan Unified School District. The winning artwork received the most votes in a public vote on Rep. Bera’s website. All five finalist pieces can be found HERE.

Rep. Bera’s annual Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to showcase the artistic talents of high school students in California’s 6th Congressional District. The competition’s winner will have their art hung on display for one year in the U.S. Capitol alongside the winners from participating Congressional Districts around the country.
