Today, U.S. Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) released a statement following the Supreme Court’s decision in Moyle v. United States and Idaho v. United States: 

“Today’s Supreme Court decision provides temporary relief for millions of women across America.

“However, today’s ruling leaves the door open to further attacks on reproductive rights.

“Let me be clear: the federal emergency medicine law, EMTALA, includes reproductive health care.

“Women will remain in limbo until Congress restores full access to reproductive health care.

“I stand ready to codify Roe and restore reproductive freedom.”
