High School Essay Contest

Congressman Ami Bera invites local high school students to share what America means to them in honor of our nation's 250 birthday!

PROMPT 

• Essay length: 300-500 words
• Respond to: "What does America mean to you?" 

SUBMISSION AND ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES 

• Competition begins: February 2nd
• DEADLINE EXTENDED: May 7th at 5pm
• To be considered, student writers must reside and/or attend a high school in CA-06. 

PRIZE 

• The winner will have their essay displayed in both of Congressman Bera's offices and will receive a certificate of congressional recognition recognizing their work
