High School Essay Contest

 

PROMPT 

  • Essay length: 300-500 words
  • Respond to: "What is your role in civic engagement, how does that affect your community?" 

SUBMISSION AND ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES 

  • Competition begins: September 7th
  • Deadline: December 4th at 5pm PT
  • To be considered, student writers must reside and/or attend a high school in CA-06 
  • The use of AI is strictly prohibited and essays suspected of using AI may result in disqualification 

PRIZE 

  • Certificate of congressional recognition recognizing their work, other prizes TBD
