Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-07) today voted for the Inflation Reduction Act, comprehensive legislation to lower costs for Sacramento County families and small businesses, reduce health care and prescription drug costs, and combat climate change. “The Inflation Reduction Act is a game-changer for hardworking Sacramento County families who are struggling with rising kitchen table costs,” said Representative Bera. “This transformative legislation will help lower costs at the pharmacy and at the gas pump while putting more money in the pockets of families. I will continue to prioritize policies like this that bring down costs for Sacramento families and our small businesses. The Inflation Reduction Act passed the Senate last week and now heads to President Biden’s desk for his signature into law. Representative Bera has consistently voted to lower costs for Americans. He voted for the Lower Food and Fuel Costs Act of 2022 to address the rising costs of basic needs like food and gas. Bera also voted for the Helpful Incentives for the Production of Semiconductors for America (CHIPS) and Science Act, bipartisan legislation to strengthen American semiconductor manufacturing, lower costs for American consumers, and turbocharge American science and technology innovation. |
