Rep. Bera Demands Kristi Noem’s Resignation as DHS Secretary

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA — Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) issued a statement demanding the resignation of Kristi Noem as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary. This follows the reassignment of Greg Bovino from his position as Customs and Border Protection commander-at-large. 

“Greg Bovino’s exit from Minneapolis is not enough. Kristi Noem has lost the trust of the American people and must resign from her position as DHS Secretary. 

“A complete and transparent investigation that delivers justice and accountability for the families of Alex Pretti and Renée Good cannot take place with her remaining in this position. 

"Every individual found responsible for these senseless killings must be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
