"As a dedicated member of the Congressional Korea Caucus, Congressman Connolly was a passionate advocate for strong U.S.-Korea relations and a champion of diplomacy, democracy, and international cooperation. He had a deep and abiding bond with the Korean-American community in Northern Virginia, and together they worked on everything from local small business issues to family reunification to promoting enduring peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

"His voice, leadership, and unwavering belief in diplomacy and alliance-building will be sorely missed. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, staff, and constituents. May his legacy continue to inspire us in our pursuit of peace, partnership, and international cooperation."
