Here's a quick update on the work my team and I are doing to serve our community.

Coronavirus Update:

While the threat of the coronavirus is relatively low in the United States at this time, we must be vigilant and prepared.

I'm holding a Telephone Town Hall on Monday, June 15 from 6:00-7:00 PDT.
I will be joined by Dr. Peter Beilenson, Sacramento County Health Director, who will give an update on COVID-19 and local re-openings. We'll also have a discussion with community leaders on policing and racial injustice in America.

Every year, I'm privileged to nominate bright and hardworking students to attend our nation's military service academies. Our service academies are some of the top universities in the country and help build strong leaders in our military and beyond. To help local young people navigate the application process, my office will host a Virtual Service Academy Information Day on Saturday, September 12th.

I took an oath as a doctor to do no harm. Inaction on climate change would break that oath.
