Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. sent a letter today to Secretary Robert McDonald requesting the Office of the Inspector General at the Department of Veteran Affairs investigate the recent death of a Vietnam veteran at the Sacramento VA Medical Center after a do-not-resuscitate band was incorrectly placed on him. Bera asked about the County's plan and specifically about how lessons from the Ebola issues in Dallas are being incorporated into training and supplies here in Sacramento County.
