Yesterday, Congressman Ami Bera (CA-07) led 18 bipartisan members of Congress in a letter urging Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin to ensure funding for a program that reduces homelessness among veterans. The program, known as HUD-VASH, serves homeless veterans and combines HUD rental vouchers with VA case management services, including health care and counseling.

"Having read both the Republican and Democratic memos prepared by the House Intelligence Committee, the president's decision to only publish the Republican version is dangerous. The memo released today is misleading and misrepresents facts in what appears to be an attempt to undermine Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Veterans services in Sacramento County got a nice shot in the arm last year with the Mather Veterans Village modern housing complex for veterans, and now money for Phase II has been approved.
