Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-07) announced that he helped secure $275,000 in the FY 2022 House Appropriations package to help complete renovations and improvements to WEAVE's permanent support housing units for domestic violence survivors in Sacramento County.

Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-07) announced that he helped secure $735,000 for three Sacramento-area community funding projects meant to bolster our region's access to a safe and reliable water supply.

Funding for these projects were included in the House Energy and Water Development, and Interior-Environment Fiscal Year 2022 Appropriations bills, which passed the House of Representatives today.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-07) voted to pass the Fiscal Year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The NDAA, which passed the House of Representatives with strong bipartisan support and provides the annual budget for the Department of Defense, includes three key amendments authored by Bera.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (D-CA) announced he secured $19 million of funding for transportation projects in California's 7th Congressional District through the Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation (INVEST) in America Act, legislation that will reauthorize surface transportation, transit, rail and safety programs for the next five years.

Funding secured by Representative Bera will support projects located in Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, and Orangevale.

Today, Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (D-CA) applauded House passage of the Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation (INVEST) in America Act, bipartisan legislation that will reauthorize surface transportation, transit, rail, and water infrastructure programs for the next five years.

In the bill, Rep. Bera secured $19 million in federal funding to directly support transportation projects in Sacramento County.

Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-07) today voted to help pass the bipartisan H.R. 8015, the Delivering for America Act which protects and strengthens the U.S. Postal Service and the right to vote. The Delivering for America Act prohibits the Postal Service from implementing any changes to operations or level of service it had in place on January 1, 2020, and provides $25 billion in critical funding to support the Postal Service.

Bill would require at least 70 percent of Ambassador appointments be from career Foreign Service and Civil Service ranks

Rep. Ami Bera, M.D. (D-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, today released the Strengthening Traditional American Diplomacy Act (STAND Act) which would require that at least 70 percent of ambassador appointments come from career Foreign Service and Civil Service ranks of the Department of State.

Sacramento, CA – Congressman Ami Bera (CA-7) announced a major, multi-million dollar grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) today to improve Sacramento Mather Airport. The grant of $3,742,000 will be used to resurface pavement areas and upgrade drainage systems that will improve the airport's safety and efficiency.
