Today, U.S. Representatives Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) and Mike Kelly (PA-16) introduced the Delivering Unified Access to Lifesaving Services (DUALS) Act of 2024 to improve coverage for individuals jointly enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid, also known as dual eligibles.

Similar legislation has been introduced in the U.S. Senate by Sens. Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Tom Carper (D-DE), John Cornyn (R-TX), Mark Warner (D-VA), Tim Scott (R-SC), and Bob Menendez (D-NJ), members of the Senate Duals Working Group.

Today, U.S. Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) announced $7,589,194 in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support Sacramento’s City and County Housing Authorities. 

These funds were provided through HUD’s Capital Fund Program to support local Public Housing Authorities’ efforts to build, renovate, and modernize public housing developments.

Connolly (D-VA), and Andy Barr (R-KY), Co-Chairs of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus, introduced a bipartisan resolution reaffirming the United States’ commitment to Taiwan and commemorating the 45th anniversary of the enactment of the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA).
